How to Run
Think back to when you were offered the job that you are currently working. What was the process involved? Did you just decide on working for your particular company, walk in and start working, I think not. Politics operate in the same fashion as Industry. There are accepted protocols and procedures.
When an individual decides to run for office, that is just the beginning of the process. One then needs to contact the county chairman and discuss their dream of becoming an elected office holder. The county chairman is the head coach of the county organization and has to build a team of quality individuals to run for elected office. He has an organized game plan and is separated from the emotion/excitement of the dream of holding an elected position, he can see the entire picture instead of just focusing on a particular office. After the chairman speaks with you, he may have another office in mind for you that could utilize your talents more effectively and would benefit the county. Isn't that the reason why you are running for office, to make Union County better for all of our citizens? Running for office is a very complicated process especially with all the financial disclosure forms that are required by statute. As an officially endorced candidate, you will have all the necessary resources made available to you by the party.
